Washington Players Give Willingham Impressions

None of these guys are going to be getting their own sitcoms anytime soon, but it's mildly amusing nonetheless to watch how broken down a program must be that players will make fun of their own coach on camera for the entire internet to point and laugh at.

Willingham Thinks He's Coaching China's Womens Gymnastics Team

It's so apparent that this is a straw grasping, last ditch effort by Willingham to do something for the Washington program that it's actually pretty sad. Willingham will be fielding the his youngest team at Washington, ever! Nearly HALF of the players he plans to start are sophomores or freshmen, including a couple of true freshman.

This isn't the Beijing Olympics, Ty. You've got older players in your arsenal and its okay to use them! With three top-25 games to start the season, it might not be such a bad idea too.

Weekly Opinions

Jim Moore, SeattlePI: Cougar columnist Jim Moore goes undercover to Tyrone Willingham's news conference, is put to sleep.

Michael Hunt, Milwaukee Journal Sentinel: Criticizes Wisconsin for backing out of a game with Virginia Tech in order to play Cal Poly, just so they can guarantee a win on senior day.

Stewart Mandel, CNNSI.com: - Stewart Mandel is back and the self-proclaimed college football expert ranks his top 25 teams with much fanfare to start off the season. Of course, it looks pretty much just like everybody else's top 25 list.

Ron Cook, Pittsburgh Post-Gazette: Conspiracy theories abound! Cook makes the case that Penn State secretly wants to have a shitty football season so as to make it easier to oust Joe Paterno.

Casey Bulyca Says A Stupid

Fifth-year Washington guard Casey Bulyca must have a skewed sense of reality. He will never have gone to a bowl game or beaten the Oregon Ducks during his entire college football career, but still somehow finds it not completely stupid to say this:

"The players don't like each other," Bulyca said. "They went to Oregon, we came to Washington. They wish they could have come to Washington."

That brain-fart of a quote comes from this article about the upcoming Washington vs. Oregon PAC-10 season opener. And this good looking of a guy lives in Los Angeles, CA. I was talking about myself there.
